Past Projects

Explore a selection of our recent projects, each one reflecting our commitment to thoughtful design, careful craftsmanship, and spaces that truly work for the people who live in them.

The 1920s Bungalow Refresh

This project centered on bringing new life to a charming 1920s bungalow while preserving the character that makes homes of this era so special. Our goal was to refresh the space in a way that felt timeless and cohesive—honoring the home’s original architecture while introducing thoughtful updates for modern living.

Many of the home’s historic details provided a beautiful starting point. Rather than replace them, we focused on highlighting and complementing these elements through carefully chosen finishes, lighting, and materials that feel both classic and enduring.

Throughout the home, updates were made to improve functionality and flow while maintaining the warmth and personality that define a bungalow. The result is a home that feels bright, welcoming, and layered with character—where the charm of the 1920s is preserved but the spaces feel fresh, livable, and ready for the next chapter.

The 1935 Tudor Kitchen

This 1935 Tudor home had sat on the market for quite some time, largely because of the kitchen. The space felt dated and overwhelming, with orange and yellow linoleum flooring from the 1970s, yellow walls, red metal cabinets, and a Formica countertop and backsplash.

Our goal was to refresh the kitchen while honoring the character of the home. Much of the original wall tile was carefully restored, and a new tile floor was installed to create a timeless foundation. Classic schoolhouse light fixtures were added, along with additional cabinetry on both sides of the stove to improve storage and balance the space.

Because the kitchen footprint is relatively small, the layout was designed with efficiency in mind. An under-counter microwave and a dish drawer opposite the sink help maximize function without adding visual clutter.

The result is a bright, character-rich kitchen that feels true to the home’s Tudor roots while working beautifully for modern living.

The Woodland Bath Project

When this client reached out about updating their bathroom, the primary concern was the lighting. The space felt dark and dated, and getting ready each day often meant doing so in poor light. Our goal was to brighten the room while creating a calm, refreshed space that felt both functional and inviting.

We began by improving the lighting throughout the bathroom, installing recessed lights over the shower and tub, above the vanity, and throughout the room to create a brighter, more balanced glow. From there, we addressed imperfections in the walls and updated the finishes to give the space a clean foundation.

New flooring, a modern vanity and sink, sliding closet doors to maximize space, a new countertop, and updated fixtures brought the room together. We completed the design with a heated, illuminated vanity mirror that adds both warmth and functionality.

The result is a fresh, bright bathroom that feels thoughtfully updated while remaining timeless.

The Pantry Reset Project

This project began when a homeowner reached out after a frustrating experience with a national handyman referral service. The client’s goal was simple: install pull-out trays in the pantry to make it easier to see and access items stored in the back.

Unfortunately, the initial installation fell far short of expectations. The previous contractor attempted to build pull-out shelves from roughly cut plywood that were improperly installed and not secured into the wall studs. Several trays would not extend at all, and others were already beginning to pull away from the wall.

Our first step was to remove the entire installation and repair the damage left behind. We installed new wall backing to restore the space and created a solid foundation for the new system. Cleats were securely fastened into structural studs, ensuring the cabinetry would be stable and long-lasting.

From there, we installed custom solid maple dovetail pull-out trays, designed to glide smoothly and provide full visibility and access to pantry items. The result was a pantry that feels organized, durable, and thoughtfully built.

The transformation not only solved the original problem but also gave the homeowner the functionality they were hoping for from the start. After seeing the finished work, the client was so pleased with the results that they requested additional rollout trays for other kitchen cabinets as well.
